Where the Powder Meets the Trees

Built for the way a powder trip actually goes: ski until your legs give out, soak, eat well, sleep hard, repeat. Our six Loft rooms put a family or a crew of friends together in one room — a king and a single below (or three singles, if you'd rather), and a twin up on the loft platform, the bunk every kid claims before the bags are down.

Each room is named for the ink-wash mural that fills the wall behind the beds: Konamori, Bamboo, Lanterns, Lone Pine, Snow Monkey, Pagoda. Private ensuite, blackout drapes for the mornings you've earned, and breakfast included downstairs.

Traveling as a party of five? Our flagship Konamori room sleeps five — write to [email protected] and we'll set it up directly.

Konamori is a nine-room lodge at the base of Tangram Ski Circus, a three-minute walk from the lift — and Tangram is lift-linked to Madarao, new on the Ikon Pass for 2026/27, with 13.4 metres of annual snowfall and nine more ski areas within thirty minutes. Come off the hill to the sauna and hot tub, après at Namazu, our bar, and a shared dinner at The Table at Konamori.

All interior images are design renderings of the completed renovation, opening December 2026. Final finishes may vary slightly.

About host

KA
Konamori at Tangram

Welcome to Konamori, a nine-room mountain lodge at the base of Tangram Ski Circus, about two and a half hours from Tokyo. The lift is a three-minute walk from the door, and Tangram is lift-linked to Madarao — thirty-plus runs, the most marked tree skiing in Japan, and new on the Ikon Pass for 2026/27 — on 13.4 metres of annual snowfall. Nine more ski areas sit within thirty minutes, two of them also on the Ikon Pass.

Our nine private ensuite rooms are available individually or as a full-lodge buyout for groups and retreats — all nine sleep up to 33. Warm up in the fireside lounge, recover in the sauna and hot tub, and settle in at Namazu, our bar, for après drinks before a shared dinner at The Table at Konamori, served from 6:30.

Whether you're chasing deep powder or finally getting the whole crew to Japan, Konamori is the home base: eat, ski, recover, après, sleep, repeat. Come see for yourself.
