Three ensuite rooms at Konamori, a nine-room lodge at the base of Tangram Ski Circus in northern Nagano. The lifts are a three-minute walk from the door, and the lift connection to Madarao — new on the Ikon Pass for 2026/27 — puts two resorts on one stay.
The Retreat rooms are built for deep rest after a long day — everything on one level, nothing to negotiate at six in the morning. Each is private and ensuite, with crisp white bedding, dark walnut, warm pooled light, and blackout-lined drapes, set behind a full-wall ink mural of the landscape it's named for: Waterfall, Alpine Lake, and River. Waterfall and Alpine Lake take a king and a single — or three singles — and sleep three. River, the upper-floor couples' room, holds a fixed king and sleeps two.
Breakfast is included with every room, served from seven. Dinner at The Table at Konamori is served at half past six — optional, per person, and open to lodge guests only. A sauna, a ski and boot room, and the lounge round out the lodge. We meet guests at Myoko Kogen Station, about ten minutes away — full arrival details come with your booking.
All interior images are design renderings of the completed renovation, opening December 2026. Final finishes may vary slightly.

GETTING TO KONAMORI
BY TRAIN
Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo toward Nagano.
Myoko Kogen Station — our default. Change at Nagano for the local line to Myoko Kogen. We meet every train there; the lodge is about ten minutes away. Send us your arrival time and we'll be waiting.
Iiyama Station — on arrival days we run two scheduled pickups, timed to the Hakutaka services arriving at 3:02 PM and 5:03 PM. Arriving outside those windows? Take the Madarao shuttle and we'll meet you at the stop, or continue by local line to Myoko Kogen and we'll collect you there.
BY CAR
Set your navigation for Tangram Ski Circus — Konamori is at the base area, three minutes' walk from the lifts, with free parking on site. Winter tires or chains are essential December through March.

Welcome to Konamori, a nine-room mountain lodge at the base of Tangram Ski Circus, about two and a half hours from Tokyo. The lift is a three-minute walk from the door, and Tangram is lift-linked to Madarao — thirty-plus runs, the most marked tree skiing in Japan, and new on the Ikon Pass for 2026/27 — on 13.4 metres of annual snowfall. Nine more ski areas sit within thirty minutes, two of them also on the Ikon Pass.
Our nine private ensuite rooms are available individually or as a full-lodge buyout for groups and retreats — all nine sleep up to 33. Warm up in the fireside lounge, recover in the sauna and hot tub, and settle in at Namazu, our bar, for après drinks before a shared dinner at The Table at Konamori, served from 6:30.
Whether you're chasing deep powder or finally getting the whole crew to Japan, Konamori is the home base: eat, ski, recover, après, sleep, repeat. Come see for yourself.
